Conditions that affect the pancreas:

Alcoholism, gallstones and viral infections can cause a serious inflammation of the pancreas called pancreatitis. Hypoglycemia or too little sugar in the blood can result from an overproduction of insulin by the islets of Langerhans. Tumors on the islets themselves, or on other organs near the pancreas, can cause the release of excess insulin. The pancreas produces insulin to maintain proper blood-sugar levels and digestive enzymes.  Eating bleached white flour products, white sugar, glucose sweetened foods or drink high alcohol consumption, pasteurized milk, Nutrasweet (Aspartame), vaccinations to name a few.
